- Currently booking for May & June ‘24 - I work Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at Atlas Tattoo -

Thanks so much for your interest in getting tattooed.  I take the honor very seriously and do everything I can to ensure that you have a great experience and leave with a really solid tattoo.  In order to keep things running smoothly and make all info as clear as possible, I put this together in the hope that it should answer any questions you may have. If we move forward with your booking, you will be emailed a few forms to fill out the day before your appointment. It is required that you complete these documents and follow the instructions if you want to be tattooed.

DEPOSIT and HOURLY RATE:

I require a $100 deposit for all bookings.  The deposit is non refundable, but goes towards the final cost of your tattoo.  The deposit holds your design and appointment date & time.   Until the deposit is received, the design and appointment slot remain open to other clients, and may or may not stay available for long.  After the deposit is received, any changes to the date or design concept will require a new deposit.  Deposits can be sent via Venmo or we can arrange for you to come into the shop to drop it off in person.

The shop rate at Atlas Tattoo is $250 per hour.  The average “one shot” tattoo takes between 2 and 3 hours, but it all depends on the design, placement, size, complexity, etc.  If you want a rough estimate for your particular tattoo, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.  Tattoos can be paid for in cash only.  We can arrange for a Venmo payment if absolutely necessary, but it’s helpful if we communicate about that in advance.  I do not take credit/debit cards.

DESIGNS:

Flash designs are posted here on my website in the “Available Flash” section. It’s important to know that most flash is designed to be around 6” or larger. You can check in and ask, but most cannot be made smaller than that. Flash designs might be tattooed more than once. I will make subtle changes to the design (color arrangement, or black and grey, etc) and tattoo it until I feel there’s not a new way to recreate the design.  As mentioned above, if you want to change your chosen design, you may need to submit a new deposit.

I’m typically down take on custom work, but only on a case by case basis.  Custom designs require a lot of extra drawing time, and I can only handle so many projects at once.  If I feel like I can visualize your idea into a quality tattoo that I can execute well, we can most likely move forward.  Custom designs are only tattooed once. If you see a previous custom tattoo that you like, I’ll most likely work you up a new and different version of it…. But I won’t tattoo it again.  Custom designed images will be ready for you when you arrive at the shop the day of your appointment.  I’m sorry that I’m unable to send you designs beforehand, but I try to have at least a couple options for you to choose from when you arrive.  If you want to see your design before you arrive, you can always choose a flash image.

I’m currently not doing custom CMYK work. I try to keep some of them available in my flash folders when possible.  It’s difficult to explain, but not all ideas will work well with that effect.  In fact, most imagery becomes unrecognizable.  I’m open to hearing your idea, but if I decline it’s not because I think it’s a bad idea…  I just don’t think I can make it work as a tattoo (this goes for custom work in general).

OTHER INFO:

I work with all skin tones and body types and would never refuse to tattoo you based on either of those factors.  You are putting a piece of art on your body, and all bodies are unique and beautiful.   Everyone holds ink differently, and some colors may be less visible once healed on richer skin tones. Once again, that varies person to person. I don’t make personal judgments on what looks “good” or “bad” in your skin. What is important to me is that my client is happy with the result. If you’re feeling unsure, I gladly offer free color tests where we actually tattoo a very small design with the chosen colors somewhere on your skin so you can see how it heals and settles before we move forward with your tattoo.  I do offer a discounted rate of $100 per hour for black and indigenous clientele.

I do not use numbing creams or sprays.  I don’t like how they affect the skin and cannot promise you the same level of quality if they are used.  Please do not put any on before your appointment without checking in with me.  I’m happy to break up the tattoo into multiple sessions if necessary, as it is more important that you have a higher quality tattoo… even if it takes an extra session to finish.

Thanks again and please let me know if you have any questions or need clarification on any of this!
